Angel Wings Costume

1980's comic book character that wore a ninja suit under a trench coat...don't remember much else. ?

My boyfriend has been talking about a comic book he read when he was a kid and i want to find a copy of it for him. All he remembers is that it was the mid to late 80's and the character wore a ninja-like suit, possibly a wrapped costume kind of like a mummy, and a trench coat. It might have the word "Angel" in the title or something. any help would be appreciated!

The only character that sounds like that is Aoshi from Rurouni Kenshin, originally published in 1994, but that's a Japanese manga.
