Whether your little boy adores Superman, Spiderman, or any other Superhero character, dress up clothes for little boys has become an internet sensation.  You may see boys walking around the store, at home, or in public places in his favorite superhero costume and he refuses to take it off because then he will lose his super human powers!  Some mothers may be embarrassed by this behavior, but it is normal, and is a sign that your child has a vivid imagination which may help him succeed later in life and can foster skills such as creativity and thinking outside of the box.  These skills will help them in their future families, in their careers, and now, helps them to be fun playmates with other children.

Little boys love to fix things.  They may pretend to fight crime, or save innocent civilians.  They transform in seconds from a regular boy into a Superhero who flies within minutes of putting their Superman cape on.  What little boy does not like to save a damsel in distress with his medieval Knight Costume on?  As parents, we can foster this type of creative behavior in our little boys to help their imagination grow to new levels.  There are many ways to help boys be creative.  One way is to find some fun dress up clothes for them to play in.

There are many places to find fun boys dress up costumes.  Your local Wal-mart or Target will have lots of Princess Dress up clothes for girls, but when it comes to boys, the selection wanes.  Ebay is a great place to find boys dress up clothes.  If you are looking for a sale or a gently used costume, Ebay is the place to look.  Sometimes the shipping can be pricey, so if money is an issue to you, look for other online retailers that offer free shipping and free returns (just in case they don't fit).

Little Adventures is a great brand of boys dress up clothes.  Their boys costumes are great quality and are easy for little boys to get on and off by themselves.  They have the above mentioned Superman cape, Spiderman cape, Medieval Knight, pirate cape with Pirate Hat.  Best of all, all of their boys costumes are machine washable.  You don't find that every day!  You can find online retailers that sell Little Adventures brand boys dress up clothes.  Many also offer special sales and/or free shipping so you can get more bang for your buck.

Another good place to look for affordable dress up costumes for boys is at yard sales or on your local classifieds site.  Craigslist or your local newspaper is a good place to start.  Many people's children have grown out of the dress up clothes that they already have.  You can find savings of up to 50% or more if you buy gently used items from others who don't need them any more.

If you have a lot of dress ups, you can even rotate them in and out of your playroom.  Keep half neatly folded in a box or tote and then switch every now and then so your little boy has different and interesting things to play with.
