The little vintage-style chiffon dresses with tiny beads became sheer chiffon embroidered with catsuit herb patterns like sprigs of rosemary and branches of chamomile. Ms. Zentai unitardagain made dresses, vests and skirts from the fabric she uses to make her bags: simple strapless dresses, vests worn open with big industrial zippers, a high-collared dress with a zipper that ran straight up the front, and a simple sleeveless one.

Showing in the Triennale, an imposing exhibition hall built in the 1930's, Mr. Ferre covered the floor with aqua tiles to create the effect of an Art Deco swimming pool. His modern-day Norma Desmonds prowled around the pool, hair wrapped in high towel turbans, bodies spider Man Costume sculpted into curvy bustier swimsuits. But that was just the warm-up drill for an epic lesson in glamour.

Some of the prettiest dresses were halter styles of pale pink chiffon, worn with white tights and black zentai suit . Her newest look was ribbed sweaters over sheer skirts with high-waisted briefs beneath. The sweaters, and almost everything else in the collection, were worn with thin white belts around the waist. Her new zentai suit is a wedge sandal, and her new purse is a clear plastic one, which the models carried with a second purse nested inside.

Everyone has been churning out glamour this season. But the last word on the subject was had by Mr. Ferre, at the final show on the Milan calendar. He presented the sort of glamour that stops men cold. With his training as an architect and years devoted to researching Costume Spiderman fabrics and technique, Mr. Ferre is able to make clothes do things no one else can.

I need suggestions for a Crossplay costume for a convention?

Every year I go to Dragon con, last year I challenged myself to do a Crossplay costume. Crossplay is basically dressing as the opposite gender. Last year I dressed as the Baroness from GI Joe, yes with a skintight catsuit and corset. I had a blast doing this and was complimented on how well I did to pass. This year I want to do it again, but can't think of any good ideas. I want to be passable as the character. Anything from Comic books, sci fi, tv or movies would work.
