All Dress Tradition Christmas-Santa Suit

Many people around the world dressed in Santa suits each year but fewer people know how began the tradition. St. Nicholas was a Catholic Bishop around 300 AD who spent a large sum of money and time to give gifts to children. Dressed in his red suit with a long white beard and red hat, which later became a saint.

But when the pace of the Reformation and Protestant split from Catholic Church that was the concept of St. Nicholas as a figure of Christmas and Christmas outfit stayed mostly the same. But not long after that time he started each country developed their own Christmas gift-givers, like putting in Santa costumes, though varied in color (and some of whom were dressed in black even).

For example, in England, Saint Nicholas became Santa Claus. But instead of Santa Claus costumes Holy Catholic Church, sprigs of holly, ivy and mistletoe adorning her outfit. In France, Pere Noel Protestants called him, while the Germans called Weihnachtsmann, which means man of Christmas. For the Dutch, was known as Sinterklaas. As immigrants came to America many people of mixed nationalities mispronounced his name and became St. Nicholas to Santa Claus.

But even countries that have no connection with Christianity began to have its own 'winter' customs. For example, when Russia became a communist state, and banned Christianity, the name of Santa Claus was amended Grandfather Frost. The pictures of him in any suit showed him dressed as Santa blue instead of the traditional Red Dress.

But no matter the names for the figure or the colors of their costumes of Santa Claus, the "St Nicks of the world always have had two things in common: they all have long beards, white and all have gifts for children.
