A Memorable Hen Night

A “hen night†celebration usually serves the same purpose as a male bachelor party, and is a final “single girl’s†celebration before heading into matrimonial bliss. They can be as simple or as wild as the wedding party and bride’s friends wish, and luckily there are many accessories, gadgets and fun little “extras†that can make a party at home, or a night on the town, truly memorable.

Most hen parties involve the guests donning Fancy Dress of all kinds, and some of the most popular items include flashing badges with slogans like “bride to beâ€, “vamp†and “flirt†emblazoned across their surface, head boppers in pink fur, and Feather Boas. The point of purchasing the gear is to ensure that everyone has fun in a silly and slightly naughty fashion. We have some laying hens that have feathers all the way down their legs Why?

A friend of ours gave us two laying hens in the fall They both have feathers all the way down their legs now....We arent sure what kind of hens they are Would anyone be able to help us And they quit laying eggs when the weather changed Is there a reason for it too.....We dont know alot about hens or roosters Thanks

All birds are programmed to lay eggs in the spring and early summer so the hatchlings will have better odds of surviving. Chickens need 14 hours of light a day to stimulate laying. When spring comes and days get longer they will start laying again. If you don't want to wait for spring you can use a lamp to lengthen their day. After about a year of age they won't lay as many eggs as when they were younger. After 2 years old they will lay very few eggs but the eggs they do lay will be larger.
